Favourite Wedding Bomboniere

Favourite Wedding Bomboniere

What was/is your favourite wedding bomboniere that you have ever received as a guest?

Was it edible, ornamental, unique, personalised, extra points if it was handmade?

Was there different bomboniere for male, female and children? Or were they given to the 'couple'?

Oh, and what would you be prepared to pay for a unique, quality, handmade and Australian bomboniere?

I personally would prefer something consumable.
I can guarantee, that 'things' I get at weddings will eventually end up in landfill or best case scenario stuffed away in a drawer somewhere and I hate that because I know it was thoughtfully selected by the couple (or at least the bride 😂) but I just can't keep every little nic nac I get at weddings!

Cute little parcels of cookies or lollies is great I think!

We handmade key rings for our guests and I still see some of them using them. The best one I received was a starfish bottle opener at a beach wedding. Useful at the time and still is.

Seeds to plant in the garden or in pots.

I've seen lots of people do jams/honey pots and then done little personalised labels. For our wedding we did calendars because we got married on New Year's Eve. Stubby coolers seem popular but we have a drawer full and rarely use them. The last wedding I went to it was homemade biscuits and they were delicious

We did stubby holders and people are still using them and rave about them! They were handy on the night too!

I personally think they’re a waste of money for the married couple. I either accidentally leave mine behind or end up throwing it out, sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have never received a bomboniere that wasn’t just unnecessary clutter and I’m not really interested in the bickies/chockies etc as I’m so full from all the food and drink at the wedding anyway.

That's my thoughts too, I have too much clutter as it is. Please don't make me take home more with the expectation that I hold some nostalgic or sentimental attachment to a pen or a key ring lol.
At least if it's edible, I can take it home for my kids to eat!

I totally agree! I’m just happy to be there to be honest haha weddings are soooo expensive and I’d much rather the couple spend that money something for themselves!

Yes same here!!! No more bomboniere. Waste a time and money and tbh, will end up in landfill.

I don't really think they're necessary. I like food if dinner takes forever though.

Just went to a wedding this weekend and the couple chose to have two caricature artists there. They drew all the guests in either single, pairs or groups of 3. Very personalized and unique. My favourite ‘bomboniere’ so far.
