Quitting smoking

Hi IMs

Every week I 'quit' smoking! Soon as I get paid I'll buy a pack than quit again!!
Financially I can not afford more than 1pack a week, 2packs if I'm lucky! But the cravings get too much. I just can't quit. I have 3children, no partner. Just us. I know I need to not only for my kids and myself but health wise. I know all that I just can't.
I've tried vaping, patches, cold turkey, cutting down. I suck at it all!! I'm now currently using gum and lozinges. I don't get bored so it's not the keeping my hands busy it's just the cravings! I don't know what else to do. I didn't think it would be this horrible.
Any suggestions? Success stories? Magic potions? I'd love a magic potion to get rid of the horrid cravings

So, being honest, you want to quit but never have. The only time you don't smoke is when you can't afford to. Might be time to visit your GP

I have quit. When pregnant obviously! Always went back to smoking.
I went to the doctor and got the patches

You could try champix by they have horrid side effects. Otherwise talk to your pharmacist, they might be able to put you on patches, and something else as well to help I quit with the chewies but I exceeded the ten a day, and that worked well for me good luck!

I did this through vaping... still band but I cut the mg do web quickly and then in 2 months I was smoke free not a craving or anything. This is also cheaper but the main point is Iā€™m completely smoke free for years now

I quit by replacing it with coke. Bad I know but it's a lot easier to quit coke than it is smoking! Every time I felt like a smoke I would grab a can of cold coke and sit where I normally do for a smoke and enjoy it just the same way I would while having a smoke. I think for me it was having something there that was a stress reliever and made me feel like an adult not a slave to my house and kids šŸ˜‚. As soon as I made coke my new 'thing to do' it was easy. There was a week of being tired and grumpy but that was it. That was 8 years ago and I only drink coke rarely. That was the second time I had quit, I first quit when pregnant with my first child then took it back up again 10 years later stupidly. Never again though, would need to sell my car to be a smoker these days šŸ˜‚
