You don’t mention which STI you have found yourself to have. That information might change in advice others gives but honestly only a medical professional can give you the correct information regarding this.

Google isn’t perfect but if you’ve been treated and gotten rid of it, there’s still a risk of miscarriage or pre term birth but according to “google” there should be no long term affects. But please talk to a medical practioner and get proper medical advice.

For me it was a stupid one night stand after an 8 year relationship. If this woman is in a relationship has found out she’s pregnant and has Chlamyida if she hasn’t cheated or isn’t promiscuous then yes she needs to ensure her partner has been tested and it’s very likely he has passed it on to her. If like me it was a one night thing then she’s very unlucky. After that case I went out and brought condoms and ensured any one I had relations with after the fact got them selves checked and cleaned up.

My daughter had an eye infection from chlamydia after she was born. Both my ex and myself actually tested negative for it and they assume the midwife didn’t clean her hands properly between births (due to mine being super fast and minimal staff).

However we both took antibiotics as a precaution. It’s very common and easily treated. So take the antibiotics you’ll be given and you should be fine. Have a retest after the course of antibiotics to ensure it’s cleared properly. Left untreated the long term effect can be infertility. Make sure you notify all sexual partners as well so they can be tested and treated if necessary.

See your GP for advise and guidance and ask any questions you may have regarding babys health and well-being.

Why is everyone saying check your partner?
Possibly she’s been the one cheating or has had unprotected sex in the past and never got checked
We can’t just blame partners

I know no women who would cheat during pregnancy it's usually the partners actually even higher risk they do it during pregnancy fact is you get tested at start and mid pregnancy if there was no sti at the first one pretty sure it's the partner there always no.1 suspect you dont just catch an sti you have to physically acquire it

She found out she’s pregnant and sti positive at the same time so it’s the start of her pregnancy so it could be that a) she cheated, b) had unprotected sex in the past and already had the infection, c) the partner cheated d) the partner had been infected from unprotected sec in the past and didn’t get a check

It’s not just from a partner cheating that can cause an sti
