Find a hobby and make time for it! It really is that simple. When you have young kids spontaneity isn't feasible but as they grow up you can get that back but in the mean it's a matter of making time to do something you enjoy.

I wrote almost the exact same thing over a week ago. F’n Groundhog Day...

I’m a SAHM. I had my own business which was something I could do for myself, but my partner hated how it was eating into family time so guilted me out of it. Now I have all the time in the world and no motivation to do anything.

A lot of the comments people made showed me I wasn’t alone. That’s the downside of being a SAHM that no one else realises

My kids are 1 & 2 so still very young, and I’ve been at home for 2 years. All my friends work, and are busy on weekends with their families. It sucks, but it won’t be like this forever.

Lots of people suggest getting out and getting a hobby of your own, but it’s not always possible as sometimes you just can’t get out of the house with or without kids

So I’m on a mission to make my at home time fun. I’ve come to the conclusion that the housework can wait (obviously the dirty stuff needs to be cleaned but the mess can wait, seriously sweep the toys into a pile in the corner, the kids are just going to pull them out again anyway) I created a new music playlist and add to it daily. I make time for my morning coffee and if the kids have a pooey nappy they can wait so I can drink it while it’s still hot.

I bought a $10 bubble machine from Kmart and just set that off outside for the kids, they love it and I don’t have to do anything

I’m starting to feel a lot better with myself and my life. Some days are still survival only, but they won’t be this small forever so I’ll make the most of it

Wow, I remember your post, I told you I was the same, but you certainly sound like you have turned things around. Well done!

I work and I’m still boring! Lol. But now that my kids are older I take them camping and stuff so that gives me something to look forward to.
