My 12 year old son wants to get into modelling, he never really shows interest in anything so i am willing and ready to support him in this.
are there any mums who have their kids in modelling? what is the best way to start? what to avoid?
Need advice!

A lot of agents are happy to take your money but they don't actually find you any work. It could totally bust his self esteem.
Like most things you start with lessons. There are loads of modelling schools, do your research.
It’s like anything, dancing, drama, music, sport etc there is no guarantee of work, you do it because you enjoy it.
Not really the same as Sport - you generally play for a club or team. You are going to get to play.
Music - you can play on a band or individually, you can play your instrument whenevrr you like.
Drama - you can join a club that put on shows.
Dancing - you can join a dance club and at 12 you will be in the end of year performance.
Modelling - pay $500 for head shots. Be given some pointers and advice. Hand it to your agent. Agent finds no work for kid.
Yes, there are some agencies that will do that.
My experience is with the schools that run classes. They teach you how to walk, pose etc. they often do fun little catwalk shows in shopping centres and other places for the experience etc.
Again you do it for fun. Probably won’t find work, if you choose sign with an agency that’s up to you.
My friend is doing the headshots, we are lucky as she is a photographer
Id love to hear from people who have kids in agencies
No experience but if it's a career choice Is get him into performing arts, dance, theatre, musical theatre, singing lessons, etc etc etc.
My friend got their kid into a t.v. ad by replying to an ad they put out. I see them being shared on Facebook all the time, just make sure it's legit as there's lots of shit on Facebook.
