Update on my child's manipulative abused friend

I wrote in last year about my daughter and her friends being bullied and manipulated by a friend who had been abused in the past.

Thankfully they are in separate classes this year but the shit is still going on. My daughter has come to me and told me she will no longer be her friend after another incident. Today the other child once again came and apologised for her behaviour and asked my daughter if they were friends. My girl calmly said no we are not and walked away. I am proud that she has stood up for herself and said no more. Hopefully this will now give the other child something to think about, that she can't abuse and spit on and push her 'friends' and it will be all OK.

I’m so glad your daughter has stood up to herself and drawn a line in the sand.
It’s so important for us to teach our children that it’s not there job to put up with abuse and putting up with it, isn’t helping the abuser anyway.

I'm glad this situation has improved for your daughter and it's good she's developed the confidence and self assurance that she knows her limits and how much she's willing to allow in terms of friendships.
I really hope this other girl gets the help and support she clearly needs though, my heart broke for her when you first posted. Now with your update, i sense she's got a lonely future ahead of her (not that that's your or your daughter's concern but still, it's very sad).
