Workplace Bullying

Hi IMs,
I worked last year and was bullied by my manager and unfairly treated in regards to my contract/position. After a year of hell, I have moved to a new workplace and already I am such a different person. I am so much more happier and positive, which has been a relief to myself and my partner.

However, my old workplace has made a complaint about me to my new workplace. After the bullying I’ve been through, I wonder when this will end?

I am mortified that bullying is following me to my new work place. How can I deal with this?

Is the complaint valid? Are you still in a similar role? I. E. Are you contracted to govt and just in another area? If so, it would be valid for it to be raised with your current manager. Are you a professional and the complaint relates to your ethics etc? If so, that would be valid to disclose. Or is it totally unrelated? If so, I'm sure your manager can respond that any issues can be dealt with by them as they don't relate to your current employment and that unless there are consequences for you (potentially) with the complaint, they should manage it themselves since you are no longer an employee.

What kind of complaint was made? Was it valid?

Are you maybe classifying something that isn't bullying as bullying in this instance? As in, they legitimately had a reason to tell your workplace something about you and therefore it isn't bullying?

Were you bullied in the sense it went through FairWork or you just felt bullied?
