Not so much advice, but curious about how you all felt about your partners when you first met them. Ie. Were you friends and the feelings developed, did you know immediately they were for you, or are therr cases where you didn't get along and them somehow warmed to each other. Im curious to know how often it happens where you know immediately vs a slow burn kind of thing.

I wasn’t attracted to my now husband at first. He pursued it and was adamant I went out with him. We never really did anything special, it was always just catching up and having a few drinks.. we didn’t kiss for about a month and then after 3 months had sex. I knew he was “the one” when I had major surgery and he had to support me fully - doing my hair and makeup, dressing me, toileting me. We’d been together just on a year and that kind of support in such a short time meant everything to me.
Date 1. We were married 3 years before we actually spent a full 24 hours apart.
We were besties for all of high school. He left after year 11, I did year 12 and we weren’t as close. The following year, we reconnected, and realised it was more then that. Well, I gave him an ultimatum and said I can’t be friends anymore, it was either all or nothing. He felt the same but we were both upset to possibly ruining such an amazing friendship... it didn’t though... we are still besties, Been together 8 years
Through school everyone always said we’d end up together. And I never saw it.
Our relationship was NEVER massive fire works and huge shit. It was just easy, comfortable and like home.

Instantly, I was nearly 18 and had turned down almost everyone who ever made a move, save 1 because high school girls are awful and started to notice I wasn’t dating lol. Went to a friends bday party and couldn’t take my eyes off him. Been together ever since, 14 years this year, although it took us 7 years to actually get married hehe
