Apply for an adult apprenticeship
Be warned most salons are not willing to pay the correct wages for this
Or check out your local tafe to do a cert 3 in hairdressing this will cost you around 18k

You need to become qualified via an apprenticeship. I'd start by calling some local salons and seeing if they are looking for an apprentice. If they aren't, you can still study without work placement at some institutes (you bring your own models for practical work).

Good luck with your dream!!!!!

You don’t need to do an apprenticeship to become a qualified hairdresser
You can do a cert 3 at tafe and be come qualified that way

Yep :) that’s what I meant by doing it at an institute however didn’t word it that way.

Your best bet would be an adult apprentice ship. You can do the cert through tafe but it doesn’t gaurentee a job at the end and a lot of the ones who complete it aren’t employable as someone who had done an apprenticeship because of a fair list of things. I know a lot of employers who won’t even consider those who just do through tafe.
I think it will be fairly hard to get an apprenticeship as it’s a popular trade. But write up a resume and go around handing it out and explaining your situation, put yourself out there and something will pop up
