Removing diabetes BO from clothes

Removing diabetes BO from clothes

Diabetes body odour!!!

It's awful. My husband has diabetes and also happens to be a "heavy perspirer". His clothes STINK! I have to wash, fold and store them seperately or the stink transfers.
I have tried washing with bicarb and vinegar, used sard, nappisan, disan, disinfectant, eucalyptus and tea tree oils for soaking and washing. I've even left his clothes out on the line for a week to air it out. Nothing is working. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the odour from his clothes.
Ideally it would be to remove the odour from him, but I can't convince him to change his diet, nor can his GP or specialists, so we are stuck with the dreadful pong that is his BO. Any helpful suggestions welcome.

I suggest you make him wash his own clothes if he won't get help!

Clinical strength deodorant might be a good start.

If his sweat stinks though, it might indicate there is a problem and he really should be seen by a dr. Which you have already mentioned. I know what it's like trying to get through to someone that they need to get issues seen to - my hubby has a condition that would also be better managed with some medical intervention.

Hi, I'm the OP. yeah, he won't get help. He's got so many other medical conditions going on that he's had enough of "do this, do that, take this, not that".
Will check out this clinical strength deodorant though. His whole body smells though. It's hard to want to hug him but be so repulsed by his odour.
Anyway, anything to get the stink out of his clothes and away from mine is a good stop gap for now.

It's frustrating. Probably as much for him as it is for you. My hubby has only one condition but multiple health issues related to it and it's a minefield!

Best of luck xx
