Sex headaches

Sex headaches has anyone of you lovely ladies had them? Do they go away? Will I get them for the rest of my sex life? It’s like I was hit in the back of the head with a bat, I have had 2 and now I am to scared to even be sex now to see if it happens again

Have you only ever had sex two times or have you had sex before and it's just come on now? 2 isn't really enough to say especially if it's only a new issue and you've had sex without them before. I'd see a doctor if they are really bad.

No I have had sex before plenty of times, went to the doctor she is the one who told me it’s a sex headache, only ever the headache twice! Just had a CT scan, to make sure it’s nothing else, but sex headaches are a real thing

I never said they weren't real. Just that if you've had sex plenty of times before and it's only come on now there's probably another reason for it as well. I'd be getting a second opinion if that's all she said. I hope they go away for you soon though, it sounds awful!

Yes, I was getting them last year for a week or two. Everytime I had an orgasm I would get an agonising headache to the point where I thought I was having a brain aneurysm or something. I had a scan on my head which showed nothing except sinusitis which was probably the cause, I started getting the headaches after a really bad cold. They eventually went away and never came back!

I used to get these. I can’t expl why it happened with only one partner and not another though 🤔 I found it’s an elevation in histamine. Have you tried having a non drowsy antihistamine and/or panadol beforehand?
Do you get any other symptoms with this or with anything else? It’d be interesting to see if anything else triggers the histamine release also.

Get your hormone levels checked!! I'm surprised your doctor hasn't suggested it already - headaches that have no physical or external cause are are often attributed to hormonal fluctuations.

I have these! It scarred me so much, as the pain was that bad I thought I was going to pass out!
When I went to the Dr he referred me to a physio! Mine wasy neck muscles, causing so much strain! With some massage and stretches! They have gone away

Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbs) can be very helpful in treating underlying health conditions that might be the background to a headache coming on after sex. You shouldn't have this. It can get better (if all other causes ruled out), but you might need treatment. Osteopath can also be helpful for headache treatment no matter what the cause.
