Helping.

Does anyone else’s partner and kids not do anything around the house? I’m talking about nothing , not a thing!! He works 16 hours a week and I work 7 hours a week (but mine will soon be 27 hours plus a week). I also do everything in the house cleaning and cooking etc etc etc and I also whipper snipper and mow the lawns. I’m also the one that does everything for the kids (including discipline). I’m also driving everyone everywhere due to me being the only one that has a license. But yet if I whinge about it or breakdown because I’m too overwhelmed with it all I get made to feel like shit. I have asked for help , and every time I get empty promises. I leave things , to see if anyone else will step up and do it , like dishes and the lawns but then end up doing it because the grass is too long or dishes have run out. It’s been going on for too long now and I truly don’t know what else to do anymore. I’m so stressed out and tired all the time.

Tell him to pull his head in or you will leave. Seriously, how do women end up with lazy slobs.

Stop doing it. It's not helping, it's pulling their own f ing weight! Stop phrasing it as helping you and losing your shit doing it all, chuck their shit out the backdoor if it's not done and as the only person with the keys - you hold ALL the power. start getting hardass. Unfortunately people don't respect people that complain but still act as a door mat, it's just boring... start being a bit cruel, smart and have fun about watching their pain and watch things change.

Your not alone although our circumstances are different, i really lost my sh!t at my hubby only a couple of weeks ago. I told it was OUR house and OUR kids not just mine. Told him to take his blinders off when he walks around the house (although didnt say it as nicely). You are not his maid so dont act like one. Stop doing it and tell him to do it. Good luck

Umm 16 hours a week is only two full days of work (well not even!) so he should be doing a truckload more...

I have to ask, why are you guys working so little?? Can he find a job with better hours? Does he have medical issues and that's why he's not working much and can't drive?

That was my thought too. I reduced my hours to 35.5 hours per week so that I could do everything around the house!
