Fixing a relationship

After being seperated for six months my ex and I have decided to work on our differences. We split not due to a lack of love but multiple circumstances where we both felt some space and time were needed. How have other families rebuilt a relationship again? Not after being told it's impossible and all that, positive advice and stories only as we are both committed to each other and are not doing this just for our child.

Firstly, work out the reasons why it didn’t work the first time. Or you’ll end up back there again and stuck in a rut. Work through them entirely.
Start slowly. Build the foundations. You both might not be the same person you were 6months ago and you may need to adjust to certain new things.
Completely open lines of communication, spend time everyday being with each other and as a family.

No advice... But so nice to see a post about bringing a family back together rather than breaking it apart
