Where to go in my career?!

Where to go in my career?!

Hi IMs,
I've been teaching for eleven years in primary schools. I am lucky enough to have secured a permanent position so I don't need to worry about job security. The money is ok, but could always be better.
Here's the thing, I feel that I've lost my passion for teaching. There is now too much politics involved, unsupportive environment, unreasonable expectations and demands. It is always changing at a rapid rate and I feel I'm just not able to teach well anymore because of all the other rigmarole. The only thing keeping me where I am at the moment is the fact that there is job security. I wouldn't be able to get into another job on a base salary of less than $85k.
My question is, has anyone else been in the same position and transitioned into another job using their teaching degree? I have a B. Teaching, but happy to do further studies.

I know of people doing corporate training and exam marking. You could study to specialise while keeping your current job. My childs psychologist has a background in teaching. I think your background would be a huge advantage as a childrens OT or speech therapist.
