Loosing weight

I've put on a lot of weight over the last few months with Christmas and new years. I'm feeling so down about it lately. My jeans don't even fit! I'm feeling so unhealthy and depressed about it. I don't even like my partner seeing me. I have 3 kids under 3 and a half so it is hard to eat healthy some times but I'm over it and I've dropped into a bad pattern of eating. And its also hard to find time to exercise the kids were me out by the end of the day to even think about going to the gym.
Can any one help me with some diets that work or some meals I can cook that the kids will love too? I want about 6 kilos gone its not much but with my little build I'm looking huge.

The vast majority of weightloss is what you eat. Exercise helps but you can't put exercise a bad diet.

The thing that worked for me was not trying to change everything at once. I started changing one thing. That was breakfast, because I could basically have it prepared the night before and the day doesn't get hectic until later for me. Once that became an established habit then I started on the next meal.

I tend to stick to meals that are meat and three veg because they are easy for portion control and I can easily change the protein portion for the kids without a lot of extra cooking.

I have 4 kids and work out 6 days a week. I get up before the kids and do 30-45mins at home in lounge room. There are heaps of exercises you can do at home. I just youtubed exercises. I also make sure when the kids are having breakfast i have breakfast too. Whether it be a poached egg ( 1 minute in the mircowave)on toast or oats or some museli. Trust me i know its soo bloody cliche but drink water lots of water (yep i pee like a pregnant woman) but i used to drink bout 3-4 cans of coke a day and no water at all. Now i dont drink any and have about 3 ltres of water a day. If i need a snack now i either have a piece of fruit or some nuts and if i need something sweet i have a yoghurt. I have found since i have started working out and watching what i eat and drink i have so much more energy, i generally sleep better and i feel great.

Start by cutting out carbs and it should help u a lot, then cut out sugar, eat fresh healthy food. It's not hard with kids, don't make excuses (harsh but true) u will be so much happier. Xxx

No, this is not good advice. Cutting out food groups is not sustainable. Everything in moderation. Cut back refined sugars and carbs but don't cut them out. Whoever told you to do that is wrong!

There's no magic pill or shake. Eat good foods and move more and you'll lose weight. When losing weight it's 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. If you eat good foods you will lose weight.
Start swapping things in your diet for example;
Coke for Diet Coke or Coke Zero
Lots of Leafy green veg and salads & small amounts of high carb or starchy veg
Lots of protien to make you feel fuller
Eggs for breakfast is always a good option, grilled chicken, turkey, pork are good lean meats.
You'd be best off to speak to your dr and ask to speak to a dietician.

Please don't listen to people who tell you to compleatly cut out carbs & sugar. That's not sustainable and when you start eating those things again the weight will pile back on. Everything in moderation.

The only way to lose weight is to find out how many kilojoules you need in a day by searching for a TDEE calculator and eating at a small deficit. You don't even have to exercise although it would certainly help or cut out junk food. Think of it as budgeting. You can do this. Download My Fitness Pal if you have a smart phone and log your food every day.
