I can’t stand it when people refer to Kelly and I as “administrators”
I know it’s kinda stupid cause that’s what we are. However we are more than that – we are two human’s with feelings that are blessed to be Mum’s and we believe in what we do. We sometimes stuff things up – However we do try to run things as smoothly as we can.
We believe in our sisterhood and we love you all. Here is a little insight into us.
I have known Kelly since she was 12. I was 15.
Fast forward through 13 years of party going, teenage stuff, our twenties, boyfriends, marriages…
In 2004 we were both pregnant with our first babies. At the time that I lost my baby boy Titan, Kelly and I were working together (We worked together for 10 years)
I.M is an extension of me so I needed someone I trusted with my life. So she was the perfect person to choose.
I say that we are very aligned (which we are) but in some ways we are so very different.
Kelly is crazy about God and talks about him like he is her best friend.
And I attend pubs and talk about wine!! Ha ha….. (Which she then drives me home from, so she’s a good friend to have. HA HA!!)
I wear makeup. She wears none. I like wearing new sparkling things. Kelly is all natural. I drink wine. She doesn’t. She goes to church. I don’t. I love attention. Kelly hides from it. I swear. She doesn’t (much
I think I have heard her drop the *f bomb* once!)
Yes, she goes to church – however she doesn’t fit that stereotypical “churchy” mould ie. She doesn’t point her finger or look down her nose, nor does she judge you even if you’re telling her about something you may be ashamed of.
For example – the other day we were chatting on the phone and she was telling me how she read on I.M how people have social sex when they’re not actually a couple (i.e “bonk buddy”) And she said to me “wow I didn’t realise people did that” *insert giggle* “I’ve learnt something today” *Insert giggle* (she giggles all of the time – it’s very cute)
So not the typical “ohh people shouldn’t do that….” More of a “Wow that’s interesting….”
The point of me telling you that story, is to give you a bit of an insight into Kelly and what type of person she is. I think she is possibly one of the most nonjudgmental people I have ever met.
I do marvel at our friendship and how different, yet the same we are. It’s actually very enriching and wonderful to have a friend that loves me for who I am. And I love her for who she is. Now, to me, that is a true friendship!
So there you go. A little insight into us. ”The Imperfect Mum” Team. – We are not just administrators. HA HA!!
